Odds and Ends

What's up? Well, tonight's get together didn't end up happening. Which wasn't a big loss. Perhaps this weekend. With end of month, end of quarter and everything else going on, only a couple people were going to make it so I kinda put the kybosh on the whole thing. It's all good though as now I've got tons of food so I don't have to go shopping for a little while. woohoo!

So what did I do? Well, not much really. I ended up going to Wal-Mart to buy a couple of frames. I had an autographed picture of Steve Grogan (former QB for the Pats) that I thought would like nice on a wall so I got a frame for that as well as one for this little piece of art that has the Ben Franklin's quote "Beer if proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

Speaking of God loving us and wanting us to be happy, well, Terri Schiavo died yesterday and her nutjob family said it was "God's Will". That may be it. Or perhaps it was the fact that she hadn't been fed in almost 2 weeks. Kind of ironic in a way since an eating disorder is what rendered her a vegetable in the first place. Yes, yes, I could be nicer. Is it sad? To a point. Not sad enough for me to be crying my eyes out like these asshats you're seeing all over the TV. These are the same people that were for the war in Iraq where how many people have died for no f'n reason? I am willing to bet you that at least half, probably more than half, of those tards could do much more good by tending to matters they've messed up (like voting for W). This is no business of theirs. However, at least the courts did their job. One thing to be thankful for.

Frank Purdue died today.

And... The Pope isn't looking too good neither. That's genuinely sad news. There's a dude that did a lot of good, despite being hypocritical on a number of occasions, he did a lot of good things in his tenure... Moment of Silence...

Now onto... BASEBALL!!! Sunday night, Sox/Yanks, opening day. I'll be at La Cage Aux Sports swilling either Coors Light or Molson Ex as those are the only semi-palatable beers they have. But they have plenty of TV's, a big screen, and if all else fails... The bartender is fun to watch.

I'm also torn as to what to do tomorrow. I really want to go sign up for a membership at the local gym. But I am in desperate need of curtains for at least my bedroom. Preferably both of them. It gets brighter earlier which means that since my windows face east, I wake up to the blinding sun earlier and earlier every day. Not cool. So we'll see. I'm thinking I may go with the curtains, but we'll decide in the morning.

And that my friends is that for today.
