This Is Better Than The Best

Ok... The Best of Montreal entry is never going to happen. Everytime I go to write about it, something more interesting happens. So I'm shelving that. I've got the newspaper here so if God forbid I'm in need of material, I'll have it.

I'm back in Massachusetts this weekend to see the Sox. Looks like it's going to be me, Finn, Teddy from the Polish Hall, and a player to be named later.

I need to stock up on beer when I'm back. So as a result, I needed to rotate some of my stock yesterday. Talk about pissing your time away. Tonight wasn't much better... But yet it was..

Today was the first day of the Montreal Beer Festival. Talk about a good place to be. I've been to a few beer festivals in my time believe it or not. This one was actually the best cuz it was very accessible and free to get in. Meaning there were all sorts of people there. The selection was nice too... I'm referring to the beer that is. Tons of local brews. Good stuff. It was much like I envision Heaven. The only things it was missing was a good polka band, Fenway Park, The 5th Alarm and Charlie Majka's Kegerator. But well, I can't complain.

I indulged quite a bit tonight. There was this Hemp Beer that was very tasty and pretty cheap. I also picked up some more glassware. One can never have too much glassware.

Tomorow I'm hoping I can get out of work early. I worked all last week even the weekend so I'm on like 8 straight days and I'm a mental vegetable. Not much has changed. I was going to take tomorrow AND Friday off, but I have an exec meeting tomorrow afternoon and I'm going out for lunch tomorrow with Delia, the hot Mexican chick that used to work for me. That should be nice ;-).

Then this weekend is going to be wild. Supposed to be hanging out with Sarah B one day. Saturday is the Sox game. And Friday night and Saturday night, the boys from the Polish Hall are playing a pool tournament in Chicopee. If they win, they get to go to Vegas again. Nice to see someone's doing something good with their lives. So I may stop by there one of those nights depending on how things are going. And Sunday Billy's playing in 3 Rivers so I may stop by there. Shane Mitus has some live stuff of his dad's band for me so perhaps we can deal there over a beer or two...
